I am giving up my birthday prezzies to help families facing blood cancer!
Today, 53 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow – another 53 families will be devastated by the same news.
This year, I am dedicating my birthday to help these families make it through.
As you may know, on the 1st of December my family and I were given the devastating news that my beautiful mum has Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. She of course had to go the extra mile and have other contributing factors like bad genes and a rogue chromosome that has significantly shortened her life expectancy to roughly 6 months.
This year the only gift I hope to receive is to enjoy my 30th birthday with my mum at home however, if you were thinking of getting me a gift, I would instead love for you make a donation to the Leukaemia foundation no matter how big or small, it will go to good use.
