Bonnie's Birthday

I am giving up my birthday prezzies to help families facing blood cancer!

This year, I am dedicating my birthday to helping families get through their blood cancer diagnosis.

It’s been a rollacoster ride for us over the last 3 years after our daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. 

There has been many highs and lows but we are truely blessed that she has made it through to the end of her treatment and is disease free for now.

Unfortunately, like many childhood cancers, it is a terrible beast that I think we will never feel confident that it has completely disappeared. We always feel there is a monster lurking under our bed that one day might return in someway or form. We have come to terms with this and as we stay very positive and have faith that as a family together we can face anything. 

It is also confidence in foundations like the Leukaemia Foundation that gives us hope. That they will find new, less invasive treatments and that one day will discover the ultimate cure and rid the world of this disease.
